LONDON – Police are continuing their search of a former stately home previously owned by Prince Andrew, following his arrest and lengthy questioning on Thursday. The former prince was held in custody for approximately 11 hours on suspicion of an unspecified offense.

The search of the property, details of which remain undisclosed, commenced Friday morning and is ongoing. Authorities have not released any information regarding the nature of the suspicion leading to the arrest or the focus of the search. No charges have been filed at this time.

Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, stepped back from public duties in 2019 following controversy surrounding his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. He was stripped of his military titles and royal patronages in early 2022. The current investigation appears to be separate from those prior allegations.
