Dell Technologies fair value estimate rises to US$564.46
The fair value estimate for Dell Technologies has shifted from approximately US$502.78 to roughly US$564.46. This adjustment follows updates to revenue growth assumptions, which moved from about 16.99% to 20.61%, and profit margin assumptions, which increased from 7.45% to 7.72%.
Several financial firms have raised price targets for the company, citing AI-related infrastructure spending as a primary driver. Evercore ISI, Mizuho, Barclays, Citi, JPMorgan and BofA have lifted targets into a range between US$575 and US$635. Bernstein, Melius Research and Raymond James have set higher targets ranging from US$617 to US$735, noting that recent revenue, margins and EPS have exceeded guidance in one instance.
Analysts have identified several key areas of growth and risk:
- Growth Drivers: AI servers, storage attach, traditional compute, and IT infrastructure refresh. Evercore ISI and Barclays highlighted storage and traditional server and networking businesses, noting large year-over-year growth in those areas in fiscal Q2.
- Cautionary Factors: Deutsche Bank, UBS, Morgan Stanley, Truist and TD Cowen maintain Hold, Neutral or Equal Weight ratings. They cited concerns regarding pricing-driven upside, supply constraints, margin durability, valuation, and the cyclical nature of the current infrastructure upcycle.
Morgan Stanley noted tougher earnings setups for enterprise hardware stocks, including Dell Technologies, citing price-driven risk. Other identified risks for the company include margin pressure from hardware commoditisation, reliance on a cyclical PC segment, and ongoing geopolitical and supply chain uncertainties.
