Bitdeer signs 28 MW co-mining agreement with Soluna Holdings
Soluna Holdings (NASDAQ: $SLNH) has signed a 28-megawatt co-mining agreement with Bitdeer Technologies Group (NASDAQ: $BTDR). The deal will add approximately 1.93 EH/s of Bitcoin mining capacity at Soluna's wind-powered Project Kati 1 site in South Texas.
Bitdeer will deploy SEALMINER A2 Pro Air machines starting in September 2026, with capacity scheduled to come online in batches. Under the terms of the agreement, Bitdeer will own the mining equipment while Soluna provides the site, power, and turnkey operations. Both companies will share the proceeds generated by the deployment.
The arrangement changes Soluna's Bitcoin platform structure. Instead of collecting only hosting revenue, the company will participate directly in mining economics. Project Kati 1 is an 83 MW data centre located in Willacy County and delivered its first gross profit during the second quarter. The Bitdeer deployment will be situated in the K1BC phase of the site.
Co-mining is "a natural extension of that operating history," said CEO John Belizaire, noting the company's experience with renewable-powered computing infrastructure.
Bitdeer reported a self-mining hashrate of 73.0 EH/s and a total managed hashrate of 86.1 EH/s for June. Soluna currently operates 192 MW of data centre capacity across Kentucky and Texas, with an additional 14 MW under construction at Kati 1. The company's development pipeline totals 6.3 GW across projects in the planning, development, and assessment stages.
