A Baton Rouge judge has granted RJ Luis Jr. a preliminary injunction, allowing the former St. John's standout to start practising and potentially play for the LSU Tigers this season.
The ruling by East Baton Rouge Parish District Court judge Ronald R. Johnson was issued on Monday evening. The injunction comes after Luis, the 2025 Big East Player of the Year, was ruled ineligible following time spent with two NBA organisations.
Luis was briefly under contract with the Utah Jazz and the Boston Celtics, though he never played in an NBA game.
