The Athletic has released the findings of an internal review into former NFL insider Dianna Russini’s relationship with New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel.

The investigation, which lasted nearly five months, found that Russini violated the outlet’s conflict-of-interest rules by failing to disclose her relationship with Vrabel. The review concluded there was a clear conflict-of-interest violation, though it found no evidence of inaccurate or biased reporting during Russini's tenure.

Russini resigned from The Athletic after her relationship with Vrabel became public, stating she did not want to submit to the “public inquiry”.

When asked about the findings by reporters on Thursday, Mike Vrabel indicated he had no interest in discussing the report. The New England Patriots head coach is currently focused on the season opener against the Seattle Seahawks.
