British-Nigerian businessman and influencer Igho "Tiny" Ubiribo died at age 43 following a cosmetic procedure in Bangkok, Thailand. A coroner ruled that Ubiribo died from a pulmonary embolism caused by the treatment.

Evidence presented at Inner West London Coroners' Court indicated that during a trip in March, Ubiribo had 40 milliliters of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine injected at an unnamed clinic. While at a massage following the procedure, Ubiribo complained of chest pain and passed out twice. He was taken to Sukhumvit Hospital, where he lost consciousness before doctors could perform a CT scan.

Medical professionals performed CPR for more than 100 minutes in intensive care, but Ubiribo died in the early hours of March 6. A postmortem examination in the U.K. found cellular material in his lungs that matched the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure.

Coroner Jean Harkin ruled that Ubiribo died from a pulmonary embolism caused by the cosmetic treatment.

Ubiribo, who had approximately 185,000 Instagram followers, lived a wealthy lifestyle. His assets included a $1.1 million home in Los Angeles and a $600,000 apartment in London. He married fashion designer and socialite Danielle Simba Allen in 2022 in a wedding that reportedly cost $473,000. Following his death, Ubiribo was buried in London in a gold coffin reportedly worth more than $745,000.
