Jesse and Joey Buss have joined the new ownership group of the San Diego Padres. According to ESPN, the brothers have struck a deal to acquire an approximately 5% stake in the team.

The brothers are making the investment through their new investment firm, Buss Sports Capital. Through this group, they are also pursuing an ownership stake in NBA Europe, according to multiple reports.

The Padres recently underwent a change in ownership after José E. Feliciano and Kwanza Jones purchased the franchise for $3.9 billion, an MLB record high. The sale from the Seidler family was finalized in mid-August.
