DAZN to acquire EverPass Media to expand commercial sports distribution - sports news

Streaming-sports provider DAZN has reached an agreement to acquire EverPass Media, a distributor of licensed sports properties to commercial establishments such as bars and hotels. Through the acquisition, DAZN will take over the commercial arm of the NFL's "Sunday Ticket" package.

EverPass will be renamed DAZN for Business following the deal. Alex Kaplan, the current CEO of EverPass, will continue to lead the business and assume a larger role within DAZN. Existing customers will not experience service interruptions. The owners of EverPass—RedBird Capital Partners, TKO Group Holdings, and 32 Equity, the strategic investment arm of the NFL—will become minority shareholders in DAZN.

EverPass holds commercial distribution rights for NFL Sunday Ticket, which features every live out-of-market Sunday regular-season afternoon NFL game. The company also provides commercial venues with access to programming from the following:

  • English Premier League
  • UEFA Champions League
  • MLB
  • NBA
  • WNBA
  • NWSL
  • NASCAR
  • PGA TOUR
  • MLS
  • Formula 1
  • College football and basketball

Additionally, EverPass maintains distribution partnerships with Apple, Chicago Sports Network, Netflix, Paramount, Peacock, and YES Network.

"EverPass Media gives us a proven commercial distribution platform, deep relationships across U.S. venues, and an attractive portfolio of premium rights that perfectly complements our growing U.S. business," said Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group.
