Fox News parts ways with anchor Maria Bartiromo
Fox News Media has parted ways with anchor Maria Bartiromo after 12.5 years. The network announced the decision in a press release on Thursday afternoon.
"We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter," the network said in a statement.
Bartiromo's daily Fox Business program, Mornings With Maria, will be renamed Mornings with Fox Business and will feature rotating anchors. Her Sunday program, Sunday Morning Futures, will also be hosted by rotating personalities, beginning with Jason Chaffetz this upcoming week.
Bartiromo faced criticism in recent years for coverage that observers believed grew more favorable to President Donald Trump and his administration. She frequently engaged with 2020 election denialism, following coverage that was central to defamation claims made by Dominion Voting Systems, which Fox News settled for $787.5 million. During a December 15, 2020, broadcast, Bartiromo stated that an "intel source" told her "President Trump did in fact win the election." Trump regularly participated in interviews with Bartiromo and praised her. In early 2025, Politico's Alex Isenstadt reported that Trump considered making Bartiromo his vice president.
