An advanced pedestrian and cycle crossing is currently being installed on Sadowa Street in Zamość, near the roundabout at Dzieci Zamojszczyzny Street. The project aims to improve safety in the area of the Bulwary Miast Partnerskich recreational zones.

The installation includes "kocie oczka" (cat's eyes), which are special light points embedded in the asphalt that shine when a pedestrian enters the crossing or a cyclist enters the passage. The system will feature motion-responsive lights, detection sensors, and intelligent monitoring.

The investment is being carried out by the local company Traffic Tronic. Due to the high volume of traffic on Sadowa Street, works are being conducted at night to avoid daytime disruptions. The project was funded by the 2026 edition of the government programme "Razem bezpieczniej" im. Władysława Stasiaka.
