Terrain, the home and garden lifestyle brand under Anthropologie Group, is opening its first Massachusetts location at Wayland Village on Wednesday, Aug. 26. The new site serves as the brand's second location in New England and includes a retail store, all-season nursery, cafe, event venue, and design services.

Tricia Smith, Global CEO of Anthropologie Group, stated that the expansion into Massachusetts represents a milestone in the company's growth strategy.

The brand has also announced a partnership with the Massachusetts Horticultural Society. The two organizations intend to explore programming aimed at engaging customers with gardening and the natural world.

Opening day and cafe hours

Terrain Wayland will host an opening celebration from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 26, featuring complimentary drinks from Terrain Cafe, live theater from the Design By Terrain team, and surprise gifts. Attendees can RSVP for the event online.

Located at 297 Boston Post Road, the cafe will operate under the following schedule after opening day:

• Monday through Thursday: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Sunday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
