AMC Cancels 'Talamasca': No Season 2 Planned
AMC has announced the cancellation of its series 'Talamasca,' meaning there will be no second season for the show. The network confirmed the decision in a statement released earlier today.
“While we are not proceeding with another season of Talamasca: The Secret Order, we are proud of the series and grateful for the efforts of everyone involved,” AMC stated.
’Talamasca’ premiered in April 2023 and was based on the novel series by Robert Crais. The show follows a covert organization within the Los Angeles Police Department that investigates unusual and high-profile cases. The first season consisted of eight episodes and explored the intricate workings of the Talamasca unit and its unique methods of solving crimes.
The cancellation follows a broader trend of streaming services and networks reevaluating their programming investments in a challenging media landscape. While AMC praised the series and those who worked on it, the network has opted not to move forward with additional episodes. Details regarding the availability of the first season on AMC+ and other platforms have not yet been released.
