Jumeirah Beach 1 Reopens Next Month After $13M Upgrade
Dubai’s iconic Jumeirah Beach 1 is set to reopen next month following a significant infrastructure and lifestyle upgrade, Dubai Municipality announced. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, recently inspected the project, which is now more than 95 percent complete.
The upgrade, costing approximately AED 50 million (roughly $13.6 million USD), aims to enhance the beach's appeal and provide a more enjoyable experience for visitors. Specific improvements include enhanced facilities, upgraded landscaping, and improvements to the overall beach environment. Details on the exact nature of these improvements were not immediately available.
During his visit, Sheikh Hamdan reviewed the progress of the project and expressed his satisfaction with the work carried out by Dubai Municipality. The reopening next month marks a significant milestone in Dubai's ongoing efforts to maintain and improve its public spaces and tourism offerings.
